Sources and Attributes of Website Information The information in the various documents on this website was obtained primarily through research of microfilms produced by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and other sources, and through research of documents and records available in the Burlington Historical Society Museum files, at libraries, and at other places. With a few exceptions, the photographs are from the Society's collection of donated photographs, negatives, albums, and other images. Because the research is on-going, the information is subject to change. Most of the information has been recorded on a selective basis and in summary or capsule form, rather than in its entirety. Those wishing to obtain a copy of the source document(s) or original article(s) can consult the microfilms or other indicated sources. A list of the sources is available on the "References and Sources" page of this website, which also includes a list of the "Abbreviations" used in the various documents on the website. The microfilms are generally available at the Burlington Public Library and at the State Historical Society of Wisconsin at Madison. Some are also available at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside Library and its Research Center.
